Our entry ‘The Working-Home’ was selected as part of the Irish Architecture Foundation and Housing Agency’s Housing Unlocked exhibition in the Science Gallery in Trinity College, Dublin. Our exhibit explores commercial vacant properties in Carlow town, a town with a stubborn but typically high vacancy rate. The proposal demonstrated both the challenges and the potential for these types of vacant buildings that are critical to the success of our urban settlements. Our proposals aim to provide an alternative model to the vacancy, urban density, and ultimately housing supply problems.
